HMAS Battler

HMAS Battler

Painted by Elaine Haxton in 1945

Painted for the cabin of a senior officer of a unit of Brittish Fleet during their visit to Sydney. Designed to give a feeling of gaiety to their sober surroundings the murals were painted in bright colours.

Pictures displayed below are other sections of the same mural, as this mural was painted on several walls.
